How are 4BLANC® lamps different from ordinary desk lamps?
Our lamps are specifically designed for nail and pedicure technicians, taking into account their professional needs. Key differences:
Eye safety: protection against harmful UV and HEV radiation, compliance with RG0 standard (zero risk to eyes).
High color rendering index – material colors appear natural, just like under sunlight.
High luminous flux (2800 lm) with no flicker, comfortable for long hours of work and video shooting.
Ergonomic design: stable pantograph arm, convenient clamp, protection from direct light into the eyes.
What are UV and HEV radiation? Why is it important to protect against them?
UV (ultraviolet) – present in the spectrum of white LEDs. Even in small doses, daily exposure can cause clouding of the cornea and lens.
HEV (high-energy visible blue light) – part of the blue spectrum close to ultraviolet. Long-term HEV exposure leads to eye fatigue, photochemical damage to the retina, and disruption of circadian rhythms.
Thanks to a special diffuser composition, 4BLANC lamps block up to 50% of UV at 405 nm and completely eliminate dangerous HEV peaks, ensuring safety even during many hours of work.
Is it true that 4BLANC® lamps are flicker-free?
Yes, both Relo and Penn use ultra-high-frequency brightness controllers that completely eliminate flicker. This is important not only for eye comfort but also for high-quality photo and video shooting: no stripes or artifacts appear in the footage.
Do the lamps harm materials (gels, bases) in open jars?
No, thanks to the built-in UV filter in the diffuser, our lamps do not cure UV-sensitive materials. You can safely leave open jars of gel under the lamp – the product will not harden.
Do the lamps have international certifications?
Yes, all 4BLANC® lamps comply with applicable international standards, including CE (European Conformity), RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), and FCC (Federal Communications Commission) where required. Specific certificates are available upon request.
Can I use the lamp for other purposes, such as drawing, cosmetology, or hobbies?
Absolutely. While designed for nail technicians, the lamp’s excellent color rendering, flicker-free light, and eye safety make it suitable for any precision work: painting, embroidery, makeup application, tattooing, watch repair, and more.
Is there overheating protection?
The lamp design and quality components ensure efficient heat dissipation. LEDs operate in an optimal temperature range, guaranteeing longevity.
What is the noise level during operation? Is there a fan?
The lamps are completely silent. They have no fans; No noise, no distractions.
Can I use the lamp with an extension cord or surge protector?
Yes, you can use a standard extension cord or surge protector, provided it is in good condition and rated for the lamp's power (max 35 W).
How does the remote control work?
The remote works via radio frequency (RF433), no line-of-sight needed. With it you can:
- turn the lamp on/off (double press);
- smoothly adjust brightness (rotate the knob);
- for Relo – also change color temperature (rotate in color temperature mode).
Is the remote included?
The remote is optional and sold separately.
Can one remote control both the lamp and a 4BLANC® dust collector?
Yes, the remote is universal. It can alternately control compatible dust collectors (Maéstro Air) and Relo/Penn lamps. To switch modes: press and hold the button while rotating the knob clockwise to control the dust collector, counter‑clockwise to return to the lamp.
How do I pair the remote with the lamp?
Within the first 20 seconds after plugging the lamp in, simultaneously press and hold the button on the lamp and the button on the remote for 3 seconds. Successful pairing is confirmed by a double flash of the light. The lamp can be paired with only one remote; a new pairing replaces the old one.
How do I unpair the remote?
Within the first 20 seconds after plugging the lamp in (while it is currently paired), simultaneously press and hold both buttons for 3 seconds. A triple flash means the remote is unpaired, and the lamp will no longer respond to any remote.
Does the lamp remember the last settings?
Yes, both models have a memory function: when turned off (including power loss), the last set brightness (and color temperature for Relo) is saved. When turned back on, the lamp resumes those settings.
Are the lamps compatible with external dimmers or smart plugs?
We do not recommend using the lamp with external dimmers, as they may interfere with the internal driver and cause flicker or damage. Standard smart plugs (on/off only) can be used, but dimmer-type smart plugs should be avoided.
Can I use an old clamp from previous models (Shadowless, Alize)?
Yes, the new clamp is fully compatible with previous 4BLANC lamp models. Conversely, the new lamp arms fit the old clamps.
Can I mount the lamp on surfaces other than a table (e.g., shelf, wall)?
The lamp is designed for desktop use with the included clamp or through-desk mount. Mounting on a wall or shelf would require a custom solution and is not officially supported.
Does the package include everything needed for installation? Are additional tools required?
Yes, the box contains the lamp with arm, desk clamp, through-desk mount, power adapter, and a 22 mm hole saw bit (for the through-desk option). No additional tools are required for clamp installation; for through-desk mounting, you may need a drill to create the hole (the included bit fits a standard drill).
How should I clean the lamp?
Wipe the lamp head and body with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or allow moisture to enter the interior. Never disassemble the lamp yourself.
Clean as needed, typically once a week or whenever dust accumulates. Regular cleaning helps maintain light output and prevents overheating.
What is the warranty on the lamps?
The warranty period is 12 months from the date of receipt. It covers manufacturing defects and failures not caused by the user.
Covers: free repair or replacement for factory defects.
Does not cover:
- normal wear and tear (cables, filters, etc.);
- mechanical damage (scratches, cracks, dents);
- damage from improper use (high humidity, voltage fluctuations, non‑original accessories);
- traces of insects inside the device.
What should I do if the lamp stops working?
Unplug the lamp, check the cable and power adapter. If the problem persists, complete a warranty form via the website, providing your order number and a description of the issue. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

Who is the Penn model designed for?
Penn is the basic professional model, replacing the popular LeClair. An excellent choice for technicians who need all key advantages (safety, brightness, high CRI) but do not require adjustable color temperature. Offers the best price‑performance ratio.
What color temperature does Penn have?
Fixed – 6500–7000K (cool daylight). This is the preferred choice for most nail technicians, providing accurate color rendering and an energizing atmosphere.
Can I add a remote to Penn later?
Yes, the remote can be purchased separately and paired with the lamp. This enables remote brightness control and stepless dimming.
Is Penn lighter than Relo?
Penn weighs 2.3 kg (with arm), Relo Pro weighs 1.78 kg. Relo is lighter due to its aluminum alloy construction, but both are sturdy and stable.
Why is Penn cheaper if it also has high CRI and eye protection?
Penn offers the same core technologies (UV/HEV filtering, RG0 safety, flicker‑free, high CRI) but with a fixed color temperature and slightly lower brightness, which reduces manufacturing complexity and cost. It’s a smart choice for professionals who want premium quality without the premium price.
Can I adjust color temperature on Penn if I buy the remote?
No, Penn’s color temperature is fixed and cannot be changed even with the remote. The remote only controls brightness and power.
